Silecroft Golf Club occupies a strip of coastal land adjacent to the Irish Sea on the outskirts of the village of Silecroft in the Western Lake District. Vast sandy beaches and the looming presence of Black Combe dominate the landscape and provide this quiet corner of Lakeland with the unique qualities that are so well loved by locals and visitors alike.
The area is a centre for watersports and beachsports of all kinds, a base-camp for walkers who appreciate the charm of the rural landscape without the crowds, as well as being the home of one of Cumbria’s great little golf courses.
Visitors will find a range of accommodation types available with serviced and self-catering, basic to luxury, and everything in between. Among the scattered community of small towns, villages and hamlets can be found genuine, traditional inns and top quality cafes and restaurants. A wide range of independent shops, supplemented by a few small supermarkets satisfy any other needs.
