COURSE CLOSURE – 5TH NOVEMBER 2020.
Lockdown Update – latest information
Following the announcement of a second national lockdown starting on the 5th November 2020, England golf have asked the government to overturn the decision to close golf courses. Unfortunately they have not succeeded.
As a result and in line with the guidance for the national lockdown, from Thursday 5th November, Silecroft golf course, clubhouse and Footgolf will be closed for four weeks.
• ALL buildings at the club will be closed – including the toilet facilities and change rooms.
• The entire course, the practice ground / net and putting green will be closed.
PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE COURSE GROUNDS TO PLAY OR PRACTICE GOLF DURING THE LOCKDOWN PERIOD
During this period we all need to follow the guidance, not being able to play golf is saddening, but beating the virus and this pandemic is our main challenge at the moment.
We will share any further developments, keep your fingers crossed for the course to be allowed to open at the end of the 4 week period with ‘normal’ golf resuming.
A message to all the volunteers who have looked after the course over the summer months, along with all the members and visitors for supporting us through the period of this pandemic- THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
#Staysafe and keep your fingers crossed for a return to the course on the 2nd December
Please take care of yourself during the lockdown and we’ll see you on the course soon.
